DOH CAN Appointment/Slot Modifications - Release Notes

Overview of Change

The Coordinated Access Network and Coordinated Access - 211 Roles have had updates to facilitate changes to the CT Coordinated Access workflow for both United Way 211 housing staff and Coordinated Access Network staff.

  1. Documentation links has been added to the “CAN HUB Information” and “CAN Protocols” documentation. Clicking each link will launch it in a new window or tab, depending on your browser.

  2. New drop down fields to identify “In person” or “Call back” appointment types to the “Step 2: Make Appointment” screen, both in the 211 workflow and from the left side menu under the “CA - Appointment Schedule” menu.

  3. New drop down fields to identify “Individual”, “Family’’ and “Youth’’ Household Types for appointments to the “Step 2: Make Appointment” screen, both in the 211 workflow and from the left side menu under the “CA - Appointment Schedule” menu. Please note, this field will only be editable for CAN Usages that have it enabled.

  4. “View UPCOMING Reservations” and “View Past Reservations” screens now contain the new elements “Appointment Type” and “Household Type”

Impact & Necessary Actions

All 211 and CAN data entry staff should adjust to using the new fields when creating and viewing appointments in the system. Be sure to review the recorded webinar or slides as soon as possible.
