On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which includes a $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund. Funding for this program, called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), is being distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants program.

CT HMIS Quarterly /Annual Reports
To date, over 30,000 individuals and families have allowed their demographic, service usage, and program length of stay data to be collected by HMIS. Over time, this data will lead to accurate and comprehensive information on homelessness in Connecticut. “How do we prevent and end homelessness?” As communities, leaders, and providers work to find the answers to that question, this report will match what many already know anecdotally with the data collected through HMIS.
